A little bit about us...
Jerry Thurston and Karen Dauer
Owner/Designer Karen Dauer and Designer Jerry Thurston are a sister and brother that have over 50 years combined experience in floral arranging and design. They are glad to work in either fresh or permanent flowers to create that unique look you are looking for.
Karen Dauer has owned one other flower shop, is an author and writes a weekly column, "The Wisdom of Plants & People". She is the mother of 5 boys and 1 girl and has 17 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Widowed at age 48, Karen remarried 18 years ago to Fred Dauer Jr. Fred has 4 boys, 1girl and 4 grandchildren. He farms 800 acres near Springfield.
Jerry Thurston is a Master Gardener and grower and hybridizer of gladiolas, peony's, lilies and iris'. In season many of the flowers in the shop will come directly from Jerry's garden. Over the years he has won more blue ribbons than we can count.
